The CLSB has launched a 12 week consultation on proposed changes to the Practising Rules and the Disciplinary Rules and Procedure (DR&P).
The proposed changes seek to both protect consumers and clients and clarify expectations of Costs Lawyers. The Court of Appeal’s ruling in Mazur has been reflected in the changes as appropriate. The changes do not impact the fundamentals of the regulatory rules.
We welcome responses from Costs Lawyers and any other interested parties on any aspect of the consultation. We have set up a SurveyMonkey link for each consultation to enable you to respond.
