The LSB today approved the fee for a 2012 Costs Lawyer Practicing Certificate in the sum of £450.00 made up by way of £200.00 (CLSB fee for regulation), £200.00 (ACL fee for representation) and £50.00 for the LSB and Legal Ombudsman levy.
The CLSB and ACL have today issued a consultation paper on four proposed new governance documents. The paper and draft documents can be accessed through this website under the “Documents” tab. The consultation period will close on Friday 8 July 2011.
The Legal Ombudsman (LeO) service became operative on 6 October 2010. LeO has formal powers to deal with complaints against Cost Lawyers and undertakes to deal with those complaints in a fair and independent way.
